I found the following on youtube and thought that it would be a good topic to have in a blog.
Simple plan of salvation below
Romans 3:23
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God
Romans 5:8
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 10:9-10
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Romans 10:13
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved
Isaiah 44:6
6 Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.
Proverbs 1:23
23 Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.
Ezekiel 18:23,32
23 Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord GOD: and not that he should return from his ways, and live?
32 For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord GOD: wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye.
Rev 3:20
20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
Matt 11:28
28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Mark 8:36
36 For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?
John 3:16-18
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
John 10:9
9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.
John 14:6
6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father,
but by me.
John 17:3
3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ,
whom thou hast sent.
1 John 1:7-10
7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
1 John 5:13
These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God
Simple Prayer of salvation:

John 13:34
Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.
"Love is a magnet that draws believers together and unbelievers to Christ."
The Lord tells us to love each other. That does not mean that we should only love other Christians, but also to love the unbelievers, even if they are our enemy, because that is the way the Lord loves people, and in order for us to be like Him we must also love like this. The first love here is to love each other as Christians, for if we do that we come closer together and closer to the Lord. The second love that we must have is to love the unbelievers, and our enemies are included as a part of this love. If we love these people then they will start to think, in terms of our enemies, they will think how can they still love me when all I have done is persecute them, and mabey a change for the better will start in their life. In terms of unbelievers if we show love and compassion towards them then hopefully they will be convicted and come to believe in the Lord. I believe that love does not only mean that we should, for lack of a better word love them, but it also means as Christians that we should share the Word and Love of Christ.

Psalm 31:1
1In thee, O LORD, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in thy righteousness.
This verse is very special to me, because it happens to be my life verse. I chose this verse because, it is a prayer that I can use day by day. This is a simple verse that has a straight forward message. The first part talks about putting my trust in the Lord. There are different definitions of trust, but this particular trust is having confidence in the Lord to take care of you. The second part of the verse is saying never to be ashamed and that trusting in the Lord will help you with that. It means that no matter what you do or whatever happens to you, if you trust in the Lord, you should never be ashamed of what you did or are doing. The last part of the verse is a little harder to understand and put into words. What I believe it is saying is for the Lord to deliver me to Him, because he is righteous, but that is my interpretation of what it is saying and I will leave it up to you the reader of this blog to have your own interpretation.

Poem
The afore mentioned poem was written by another person, and then presented to me during church.
The Cross In My Pocket
I carry a cross in my pocket
A simple reminder to me
Of the fact that I am a Christian
No matter where I may be.
This little cross isn't magic
Nor is it a good luck charm;
It isn't meant to protect me
from every physical harm.
It's not for identification
For all the world to see;
Its simply an understanding
Between my Savior and me.
When I put my hand in my pocket
To bring out a coin or a key,
My Cross is there to remind me
Of the price he paid for me.
It reminds me, too, to be thankful
for my blessing day by day,
And to strive to serve Him better
In all that I do and say.
It's also a daily reminder
Of the peace and comfort I share
With all who know my Master
And give themselves His care.
So I carry a cross in my pocket
Reminding no one but me
That Jesus Christ is Lord of my life
If only I'll let Him be.
Amen

Way to happiness
I found a website that teaches a lot of good stuff about how we should live our life in the best way possible, and the website is www.thewaytohappiness.org. I think everyone who reads this blog should visit this site, and then send this to their friends and whoever else they seem fit to send it to.

After Philly
Last week I had a great and eye opening experience in Philly. I have gone to a big city before, but have never gone to one where I have opened my eyes to the other side. Most people who go to these cities only go to see the sites, but they do not see the other side, which is the homeless side, the poverty stricken side. I guess they do not see it because they do not want to see it. On Sunday, after the eight hour drive up to Philly, we got settled into our row house and then went on a pryer tour of the city, which was the first eye opener for me, I saw very clearly the other side and the problems that follow. The second day, we did something called Philly explore, which is we went up and down the parkway, and asked questions about the homeless problem in the city, and we got some interesting answers which I do not remember all of them. On Tuesday, we went to Sunday Braekfast, which is an emergency shelter for men, but they also have a woman's shelter and thrift shop also, but while we were there we helped stock food items that had been donated by a number of people, but after that we went and did their chapel service and we also served them lunch, so we had a very eventful day that day. On the forth day we went to a retirement home called the Simpson House, and we spent some time there speaking with the elderly that were there, but that night was the most enjoyable. What we did was pack bag luches and toiletries and then went to the parkway and handed them out to homless people, and we were also able to just talk to them and find out what they used to do and whatevere else they wanted toi disclose to us. On Thursday, we went to a place called manna and helped them with some of the jobs that they had to get done, and we also delivered some food packages to some people, it was not the most enjoyable thing that we did, but I was happy to be there and help out. Finally on the last day we went out to a site with a organization called Ray of Hope. What we did there was clean up a horrific looking lot that was just covered with trash but when we were finished it looked alot better. In the afternoons we had the opportunity of going to Camden New Jersy, and work with Hopeworks which is an aftershcool care program, and they were glad that we had come to help them with all the jobs that needed to be done but they just did not have the time to do them so that was enjoyable. Then on Saturday we packed up and left for home. All in all I believe it was a good trip and that we did our part to help out the city of Philly, but I feel we could have done alot meore if we had the time. For me this was an eye opening trip, because I can see all of hurting that is going on in this country, and I am now better equipped to go out and help in other places, and I hope I can do that at the earliest opportunity that I get, and also go beck to Philly and do more work there.

Philly
In two weeks myself along with eigft others will have the privelege of going to Philly. I believe that this will be an awsome trip and I can not wait to see what the Lord has in store for us to do when we get there. My hope is that the Lord uses us in such a way that we will be able to shine for Him and His Kingdom, and also that we do what he has planned for us do, ie his purpose for us going there.
